Did you have your speed or rev limiter tuned out? Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the SS has the speed limiter set at 155mph, not 175-180... (I got to 158mph on the dyno, but the DIC message flashed the speed limiter at 155...)

If anyone bought their car cause it is faster then the next guy is an idiot and already lost the race.. I bought my car for the way it performed how it felt sitting in it and how it looked. The only thing I cared about is that it had a V8. I didn't buy it to race it I bought it to have fun in.

If I had my way I would have one of each as I like all three cars. I am not a Muscle Car Racist..

Guys that have to brag that their car is faster then the next is just insecure...

The way Ive heard it and read is that the LS and LT are limited to 155 but the SS is 175-185.

Great comment. The sad thing is that if the only friends most of these guys have are "fellow 5th Gen owners" they must be a lonely lot.

But I think the point of the thread was (correct me if I am wrong)
the mopar owner bragging about their car.

I have a v6 and I am happy about the power, even with the v6 you can scare your passenger- so even though its not the fastest it makes me happy and I brag (just to my wife and kids though, i keep quiet when talking to other people) I will eventually supercharge it, because i like the power.

I am not an expert on the subject because i truely never had a FAST car but i think if something makes you happy, you should be able to talk about it. Of course some people wont be happy about that- but you cant make everyone happy

Mine's the SS - speed limiter pops up on the DIC at 155... try it sometime, even on the dyno, when you know you're not moving, it's still a rush

Edit: A little quick research found that the LS is limited to 118.

I had an '08 Charger R/T, too. Great car. But I never did understand the hate - and believe me, I've seen deep hate. I also used to have an '05.5 Audi A4 that was APR Stage 2 and would regularly take down 'vettes. Now there was some hate.

and you are right. and this has been talked about and confirmed before. heck a simple search can get you this info. the pirellis which come stock are rated at 155. and just for the record if he meant 350hp at the rear wheel he might've been pretty close as well... I'm just saying.. for being "a chick that knows her cars" she sure is making a lot of mistakes in this thread....

I'm in same situation but my buddies SRT8 Challenger has same blower and mods as I do and we run at the track close to the same times. Its all good sportsmanship I say. But if your buddy is talking out his butt just tell him to put up or shut up. I will say those hemis are real strong motors and get real lively with any type of tune and mods so be careful.

not to get personal but on a serious note, if she's still in pain after surgery then the surgery wasn't successful and she needs to get that looked into. and if her Dr is telling her that its in any way shape or form "normal" then she needs to find another Dr. surgeries are done with the intent in bettering the quality of life of an individual. no surgeon with an actual medical degree will leave bone on bone grinding on purpose.
