I wouldn't disagree with that. Although you have to allow for personal stubborness as well. I've got bone/bone contact in both my knees but figure at 49 I'm not going to bother with replacing them just yet. The reality is that once you know that's your only option, there's no harm in waiting for as long as you can physically stand it.

I'm just saying.. for being "a chick that knows her cars" she sure is making a lot of mistakes in this thread....
Lol actually Im not, it depends on the info you look at..I was referring to a car with the factory limiter removed, my bad I do not consider the top speed of any new car unless its had the limiter removed. Sorry Im old school, Im a street rodders daughter, we talk numbers without limiters and restrictions and no he didnt mean at the wheel, he meant 350 overall

Heres a one stated the SS top speed is 173 minus the govenor

Well considering I couldnt walk without a cane, yes Im better. The bone on bone is something Im gonna have to live with. They fixed it the best they could. Thx for your concern tho.

So, it sounds like you and Mr Mopar were both right... He said 350hp (the stock SS puts down about 360rwhp, he was close), the stock SS is limited to 155mph.... You were thinking hp at the crank, and top speed with the limiter tuned out... You were just speaking different languages, right?

He meant 350 overall not at the wheel and when we were talking top speed it was the true top speed of the SS. Like I said Im old school and talk real numbers without all the factory bs. Once my warranty is up, I will for sure know the correct numbers, lol

Lol thx sweetie the funny part is this thread was suppose to be a joke and turned into a 4 page who the hell knows thread. A charger became a challenger and a 392 was thrown around. Limiters and top speed, drag racing, posted times, hip surgeries, car guys n gals, v6 vs v8...the point was lost..who f'ing cares about whos faster or slower, uglier, shorter, longer, heavier...just enjoy your car.

I Love challengers as much as I love camaros. I've had nothing but great comments and thumbs up by challenger and charger folk. Car people are car people doesn't matter the male or model

faster or not the challenger is an overwieght ugly pile of crap nothing compares to the camaro in looks or handling plus cost wise not even close look at it this way with the extra $you save on buying the ss over challenger or gt500 you can put loads of mods on your ss and destroy them and still have extra cash the camaro is the greatest american muscle for a reason
