The new challenger srt8 are pretty quick but I believe its still a drivers race. And the auto l99s dnt have 426hp flywheel they have 400. And in my opinion the true horsepower is why's gets put down at the wheels not flywheel.

The SRT8 CHARGER numbers are extremely close to a SS Camaro. Im glad that you guys want to keep shouting off about how the SS would get spanked by a Charger, go buy one then. The numbers and links are more accurate then your opinion. And thats fine if you dont want to learn and educate yourself on the topic, thats not my issue.

Just enjoy your car and I will mine no matter what kind it is. That was the point of this thread before the drama club started in

here I added it for you
Ooops, I thought I posted that article about the Challenger. Either way though, I've read write ups on the Chally, and the same thing applies. It might be a tad quicker, but it's not like an SS vs a Lambo or something like everyone is making it out to be.

It's funny how these threads get all blown out of proportion. You'd think we were on a Mopar forum the way everyone is talking.

I brought the challenger up. My bad I thought we were talkin mopar in general. Lol

Btw, the charger is my favorite dodge. It's such a good looking car.

I think someone needs to check up on their reading comprehension a bit

I quoted you AFTER you gave in and threw her a bone by saying you'd take "comparable"...

I just saw you quoted me and said that. My mistake.

Wow Angie, U got the best of both worlds! Yes, they are very comfy.
had no idea the SS could beat the Charger Srt8. I even heard with a few bolt-ons, the SS could beat the 392 Chally...Drivers Race Of course. And I thought my challenger was quick

Would love to take an SS for a spin

Not true... LS/LT 118, LT/RS 155 and SS 155.

OMG, the amount of misinformation in this thread is making my head hurt!!!

Having owned both, I agree if SRT8 is an automatic car, even cammed you would have a race. If it's a stick you may have a shot, go find out and have some fun

I raced a yellow 392 Challenger this weekend... I think the person was very new to the track based on the lengthy staging and the 14.x run time. I was a little disappointed as I wanted an actual heads-up challenge.

Those Jeeps look pretty mean, but even used ones are pretty expensive.

I rather have a Trailblazer SS even though it's slower stock/stock.

A Charger, YES, a Charger...she was talking about a Charger. Not a 392 Challenger, not an SRT8 Grand Cherokee, not an SRT8 Magnum...an SRT8 Charger. She should have been more descriptive in her "SRT8" OP, but it's a Charger. A four door, family car with a 6.4 Liter 470 Horsepower engine. It would be like dumping an LS3 into an Impala (or an LT1 like the 1994-1996 models). Driver's race.

Hmmm... My 6.1 was a drivers race " stock vs stock with the "SS".

This was an average time for my buddy in his 392 @ Gainesville...
It's called the driver mod.

lol, you realize the only real difference between a automatic 392 Challenger, that runs as quick as 12.2 with a good driver, and an SRT8 392 Charger is around 100 pounds of weight right? Same engine, transmission, gearing, suspension, etc, etc........
