On the other hand, if the gt500 does not post better times then I think the ford guys will need to give it a bit more credit than just an auto X car. Because obviously this means its more than just an auto X car.

That's it for me. I'll remain silent on this war or words until the results.
The respect should already be there between both of these cars. Let's say the Z is 1.5 seconds faster then honestly a Shelby owner should have nothing to be ashamed of. He owns the fastest 60k car ever practically and "keeps up" with the ZL1 and boss on an road course. It's still the big street brawler that runs deep in the 11's and a top speed of super cars and handles too.

If the Shelby wins the road course I see it being compared to the older Srt-10 viper coupes. It will be considered the "rawer of the two" but the ZL1 owner can say being 100hp down 250lbs heavier and 4-5K cheaper that it runs super car times and being almost on top of a car that has more power and less weight it hangs right there. Not only that it's the best camaro ever.

When the times are released both theses cars are still gonna rock but each camp will have to put there spin on how the other one is utterly a failure.

When is gm going to change that awful interior? The rest of the car is cool(although a little overweight) but the interior is just debilitating!

did anyone else notice that the driver hit the rev limiter from 1 to 2 and again from 2 to 3! not doing that will shave a second or two off the camaros 1/4 mile times...

Seems like most actually like it except the critics doing reviews. They are the same ones who glorified the sleek body styling of an 83 camry.

They used the best run of the day not that particular one. They do multiple runs to get the best time.

But seriously whast the point in all this bickering over who's STOCK car is faster, when was the last time you met a true car guy with a 100% stock car? I know I'm already planning modifications I understand you guys are debating what's better out of the box but I'm an individual and when im done my car will be as well so bring on your roush your saleens and your shelbys, just refer to my avatar and know that I'm not worried.

I tried to be decent but that guy seemed to define ingorance, his points even conflicted.
Like how we couldn't speak badly about a shelby because we don't own one but yet he could trash talk the Z when he doesn't own one.
