WE WERE THE FIRST ORDER AT OUR DEALER ,BUT 2 SS's AND 2 LT's LATER WE STILL DON'T HAVE OUR CAR. WE WERE DRIVING DOWN THE SAME HIGHWAY THAT OUR DEALER IS ON TODAY AND WE SAW A RED SS COMING DOWN THE ROAD.SO I CALLED THE SALESMAN I DEAL WITH,YEP ANOTHER ONE FROM THERE,SO I ASKED IF HE COULD TELL ME WHEN MY CAR WAS COMING IN..... UH, NO STILL NOT SURE THANKS AGAIN GM

I know its no fun but its not uncommon. Truth is first orders are getting the worst of it all, more QC issues and stuff. First car to arrive at my local dealer wasn't the first car ordered either. I know its frustrating but once you have your car it will all be worth it. I'm actually kinda glad i was number 30 at my dealer and not really early number.

Is your car built yet?
If it is, its probably stuck at Quality Control at the plant

From what i can gather several people aren't happy about the whole preordering process. I mean the earlier you ordered your prob gonna end up with a low vin which is a nice thing down the road but a bad thing right off the start. Early cars have more problems thats the common sense of it. 5 years down the road when everyone has their car and all the little bugs have been fixed, we want remember any of this waiting just the overall enjoyment of a beautiful car.

Not to be negative, but with the stories we've heard your car maybe has already come in and been sold to someone else. Then they just ordered another car for you. Go in with your order number and find out what your event code is.

Now that you have your SS did the plant take care of the 2 issues the battery cable to starter and how about the wheel weights are they on your brembo brakes or not (front brakes that is) and the insulation around the battery cable can you shed some light on this thanks.....

I understand that most dealers ordered their full allocation as soon as they could order them. So all of the pre-orders came 2nd. Now those dealers are selling their orders at $5K over MSRP and waiing for your pre-order to come in the next allotment..??

I went in person to my dealer today and had the exact thing happen! My salesman has tried and tried to get more info out of GM, but still can't find my car. 2LT's were delivered earlier in the week and one 2SS Wed. I know it is not my salesman's fault, but it is so frustrating. They still don't have the invoice and it doesn't show up on the squastic squirrel database.

pre-ordering blows......... I will NEVER do it again

it might be good for GM, but it is way too frustrating for the buyer....

I saw someone on here a couple weeks ago offering my exact car for MSRP..... less than 300 miles from me, but I couldn't buy it because I didn't want to lose my deposit.
