Re-Mote starter

I haven't tried this thing in over a year. Now it doesn't work, any ideas besides the obvious of taking it to the dealer??

Do you have a CEL? Is the hood open? Just a thought. It won't remote start if any of the following are true.

Hit the lock button first, then hold start symbol for three to 8 secs.

Check settings in radio configuration screen. Have you disconnected the battery? Maybe it defaults the remote start off and you have to go back and change the settings?

I know you are supposed to hit the lock button first, then hold the start button down until it fires up. I also do this with my cell phone when I want to show it off a little. lol

Thanks I'll check all that was suggested. One question? I had my hood mod so it opens like a Vette. Think this might have anything to do with it?

Thats only if the key isnt in the ignition tho right? Pretty sure key needs to be in the ignition for it to stay running with the hood open.

Well I went outside, everything is shut, factory settings are correct as far as allowing remote start to work. I just wonder if when I had the diablo sport tune put on if that might have disabled it or when I changed the hood to open in reverse if that might have had something to do with it. The parking lights light up when I hit the remote start button but the car does not start. Oh well never really used it anyway. Thanks for the suggestions.

The reversed hood I'm guessing, though I don't know too much about them. If you could find the sensor that is tied into the remote start and jump the wires you should be able to remote start.
