Price check: 2012 1LT RS w/Rear Vision pkg

Hello, long time reader first time poster. I've had my eye on the new Camaro since it came out in 2010 and I'm finally getting close to a purchase. I received this offer yesterday from a dealer in MA:

2012 Camaro 1LT
-Manual transmission
-Imperial Blue Metallic
-RS Package
-Rear Vision Package

I was able to get him down to $27,500, but he would not budge after that. He said it was ~300 below the invoice price. I told him I had to take a day to think about it. It seems to be a good price, but I wanted to see what everyone else thought. I was hoping to spend closer to $25k, and I honestly don't care about the RS package so I would rather not have that and save the money (as well as save on future tire purchases), but I've had trouble finding a 1LT without it.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

P.S.
I have been trying to get the $1k private offer on the Chevy website for the last few hours with no luck, so if anyone has one they're trying to get rid of, please pass it along!

I got a dealer down to 28k on a 2012 2lt rs on a trade-in, so I'd say this probably isn't a "great" deal

Is that for an automatic or manual? If that's for an auto, it's a really good deal. Invoice on that car would be about $28,500.

The quote is for a manual transmission. Sorry, meant to specify that.

Then the dealer is right, that's about $300 under invoice. Still a decent deal. You'll have a hard time finding a better deal on that car because there aren't a lot of manual tranny 1LTs in Imperial Blue out there.

GearheadSS -- you are very correct in saying there are not many Manuals 1LTs out there. I went to another dealer tonight and they couldn't locate any without the RS package. The salesman said I was honestly better off getting a 2013, and he gave me a price quote as follows:

2013 Camaro 1LT
-Manual transmission
-any base color
-Rear Vision package (this is the one add-on I would like, as the rearward visibility seems pretty awful and I wouldn't want to risk getting any dings while parallel parking etc.)

quoted price:$26573 (with supplier discount from my company)

he said I probably wouldn't get it for 6-8 weeks, but I'm okay with that. He also said they wouldn't know what incentives they have for July until the first of the month, so I will probably wait until then to order. In the mean time I'll keep trying to get the $1000 private offer on chevy.com. That, combined with my trade in, which I'm hoping to be $2000-$3000, should get me close to $23,000.

Thoughts?
