Classic car sales tax question

DMV is closed for the night and just anxious to know the answer to the question:

In Texas, i noticed the standard 6.25% of the purchase price of the vehicle is not applied to a vehicle of 25 years or older. Then what is it?

The website just says its not applied and doesn't say what it is.

Damn, did you use a feeler gauge to set the ride height? Looks good.

Not sure about Texas, but when I registered my 1974 Ford Bronco in Washington the used some kind of old car value book to set value.

I am sure this is just limited to the Standard Presumptive Value. You still have to present a bill of sale and the value will be based on that instead of this new law. So you still have to pay the tax. It's just done the way it was before this law.
