Yes, i will do the mopping, and maybe waxing too. Yeah I did buy that car a decade ago. Please, tell me something i dont know
Oh we have a big baller in the house. I would be a big baller and buy a Gen 5 Camaro just like you, if i was living in my mother's basement. However, i will do better than a Gen 5 Camaro though. You know very well that car payment is killing you, thus the reason for your weak sauce mods

Yeah so it has all this modern suspension yada yada yada. However, what are these modern suspension doing for that pig? Absolutely nothing.
Early this spring, there was a 392 challenger at my local open track, and that challenger could not handle for shits. Even the owner who is a diehard mopar guy so disappointed that he felt like leaving the car at the track. He was even talking about how his 1970 challenger handles better than the 392. And yes, my suspension is not modern, more like ancient IRS, but that 392, finished way further down than where i finished in the standings.
So, when i use the word overrated, i am talking from what i saw AND a 392 challenger owner's experience.

Its like having a supermodel that you cant bang!

Despite how the Challenger handles on the track no one can deny how this car looks going down the road. My only complant is the width of the rear tires, needs to be wider to fit the good looks of this car..

thanks

295s and 305s fit no problem back there, the 315's require a little rolling to get them to fit right without rubbing, but I love them bastards

You are modded and was it an 11 or 12? 11s did not have the adjustable suspension and early 12s only had 2 mode, not 3. In C&Ds last Lightning lap the 392, an 11 model, was right with an SS handlingwise and cars were running generally slower because of conditions that day. It sounds like the guy picked the wrong car for what he wanted. Hell, you are modified right? And who says his 70 Challenger wasn't a full restomod with a modern suspension,. brakes etc, because no one in their right mind would claim a stock 70 Challenger would handle anywhere as good as any new car really. I smell something.......

ATTENTION: Most of the people come on Camaro5 to enjoy modern muscle, ask questions, talk about mods, share experiences, look at pics and simply take in the atmosphere with other car enthusiasts. PLEASE DON'T FEED THE TROLLS!

You know I once saw a guy who did that, I talked to a guy who said this, etc, etc, bottom line a stock 12 SRT8 automatic would waste a stock 03/04 Cobra in the quarter mile, so it's a good thing you modded

I like swapping barbs with the truck guys. I always point out their smaller engines as it seems to get under their skin: "What's your Tundra got, one of those little 5.7's? Yeah, those are cute. 6.2 liter here."

I own my home thank you very much which was built last year and could probably put two or three of yours inside of it. The car is paid for so the only payment I see is insurance. Weak sauce mods? $13K and a $40K car? I'd hardly call $53K weak sauce. But whatever.. I actually bought a Mustang in 1989, a GT and another one in 2000 which I had to take back because my knees hit the dash with the seat all the way back. I tried, but since Mustangs are for Midgets, I had to buy a man's car and go with a Gen 5 Camaro.

By the end of the year, look at my mod list and see how weak sauce you think it is. And if you would maybe take the time to read my build thread, you'd see I'm having my 20 year old daughters race this car to benefit their Sister who has a brain tumor and I didn't think putting a 600+ HP motor in the car from the start was a good idea since they are just starting out. They are doing so good though, we will be Procharging the car in the fall. Another $7K Weak sauce mod.. .

Very true. Of all the current retro muscle cars, the challengers are the best looking of all. If they could just fix the weight problem, and make them handle a little better, they would epic. And oh yeah, never understood the tiny width rear tires
