CRYSTAL RED TINTCOAT Color Variations

I am very interested in this color but I have a concern. I look at some and they look Copper, others Mauve and some Maroon.
Is there some inconsistency coming out of the factory?

The problem is not with the consistency coming out of the factory. What you are seeing is being caused by the difference in the lighting on the vehicle. The color of the light from the sun is different than the color of the light from an artificial light source. If the photographer does not correct for the lighting, you'll see a difference in the color of the car taken under two different light sources.

I guess I would need to see one in person. The same color is on the CTS-V and all photo's I have seen of them the color looked the same.

Great color has alot of depth to it. In the full sunlight is a metallic candy red just awesome. In the evening it changes to more of a RJT shade but that's the
nature of some metallic paints. My best advice is to try and find a CRT at a dealer and see it both in the full sunlight and at night.

the Vic red on order cuz I wasn't sure. When I found a 2012 SS in CRT in the flesh, I was
on the phone in a flash to see if it wasn't to late to change.Bingo!! CRT it is!!

Pictures don't do this color justice. I saw a 2012 ss crt last weekend in the sunlight and it was the most beutiful color i have seen in a while. I used to have a 2010 rjt ss and it just depended on the sunlight to how it looked but it was always awesome. But you HAVE to see the color in person.

Trust me, I own a CRT SS, its soooo amazing, the color variance isnt the factory, its the lighting, the camera, and the angle.

I can walk to the other side of my car and it looks red/maroon/purplish/pinkish/orange, and it pops! It always looks deep, and I love it.

Check out my buildthread, and you can see 50 pictures of the same car, but 20 different hues

a coworker just purchased a 2LT RS in CRT and i am honestly blown away at how nice the color is. When the sun shines on it it is ridiculously beautiful but even in the shade the colors are deep and really do pop!

I think it is picture quality and lighting. that being said I like it much better with the black accents on the ZL1 than on a CTS-v for some odd reason.

I just ordered a CRT ZL1, Exposed Carbon Fiber, polished wheels. I like almost all the colors but was going to buy victory red. Saw two new SS models on a dealer lot of each color with my wife and son. They out voted me for that and not victory red. It is a sweet color was trying to decide between them. I and am looking forward to it. I did not order strips but may get them painted on as a buddy owns a shop.

That is so reassuring! I was very concerned I would end up with a purple car. My 2SS was orange but every time a CRT drove by I was drooling But I have seen so many what I call varations I was concerned.

Thanks,
Again
