Hi everyone....New to the board. Just bought my 2011 SS2 and was wondering if there are others on the board/fourm in the Harford county area? Also is there a Camaro club in this area as well?

I just got mine tinted 20% I am keeping my fingers crossed.

hopefully you'll be okay- they say it has to be over 50% (in VA at least) but then it's hardly dark enough to keep the sun out!

I only drive about 1 mile in VA, driving from MD to WV. PA is strict too, my brothers car got impounded for tint.

Alektra....no wonder why you get pulled over for illegal tint.....that bright pink sticks out like a sore thumb...lol

This is why I don't enforce certain out of State equipment violations unless they are universal to all States. Kinda stupid to enforce equipment that is legal in someones home state.
Delaware's tint law for example only applies to vehicles that are registered in DE... not to cars from other states just passng thru...

you should always check to make sure the statute for the state you got the ticket in is applicable to an out of state registered vehicle...it will say whether or not its for any vehicle operated inside the state or just vehicles registered in that state..

PA laws suck. Cop said it wasn't legal to drive so he called a tow truck.

That sounds like some ole' BS. It would have to be a safety hazzard due to mechanical failure or missing equipment..... ie., missing a tire, no headlights (you get the idea), no licensed driver (valid), lack of insurance or if he was being physically arrested.

Let me check into that to make sure PA is the same way and I will PM you so that he/you know if it happens again.

I can issue a re-inspection order for an equipment issue outside of a citation but thats it if its not a hazzard....

if its something I issue a ticket for and it can be removed easily then I can seize it as evidence...like a false reg sticker, plate, or plate cover that obscures the writing. I can't see it being okay to impound for illegal tint alone.

When I got my tint put on I got in a huge fight with my mom. She thinks the cops are going to take my car.

maybe make me take the tint off. It is my brother we are talking about, he was probably an azz to the cop. There might be more to the story.

Spotted about 80 Camaros yesterday cruising downtown Frederick! Was a lot of fun seeing all the cars and ruining people's commute from work, haha.

Surely there's more pics out there somewhere, but here's one I snapped yesterday before we took off.

Saw some familiar cars, but didn't get to spend nearly enough time meeting owners. Next time I'm blocking off the whole evening!
