Not too familiar with restaurants on the far East side. Here's a few that popped up on the phone;

Mulligan's Grill - Golf Links & Harrison (Several others at this locale)
McGraws Cantina - Houghton North of Irvington
Magpie's Pizza - Braodway & Houghton

Any other ideas?

I have absolutely no idea what is on the east side, so I defer to you.

Two come to mind. Argenziano's Italian restaurant which is about 3 miles south of SIR on Houghton. Great food and easy to get to. Parking lot can get a bit tight but if we get there early, should not be a problem.
Old Vail Steakhouse on Benson Highway. It is located in Vail off I-10 at the Wentworth exit. Turn left, go over the bridge and turn right onto the frontage road (Benson Highway). It is about 1/2 mile down on the left and has 3 acres of parking available. Food is decent.
Let me know what time and where you want to meet and I'm good to go!

How about us Nor'westers meet at Orange Grove and Thornydale by 5:00, and get the the restaurant around 5:30. Will that get everyone to the track in time?

It will take at least an hour to order, get served, eat, and then drive to the track.

If we get there at 5:30, don't think we'll get to the track by 6:30. Just sayin'

We should be fine. Even if Will gets there right at 6:30. it will take him at least 20 or 30 minutes before he makes a run.
