I figured it would bring at least 20k more. I wish I was there, I would have gladly handed over 45k for it.:(

if a car is too modded sometimes it backfires. We all know the parts were worth more then what it sold for

In today's economy there is a lot of competition for the dollar and with cars like the ZL1 coming out people are leery of modifications others have made. Sorry. I feel your pain. :(

No matter what, it is an incredible build and well executed. Hope you enjoyed it during the time you had it.

I think it's safe to say that Barrett-Jackson is not the place to sell a new modified car.

Nor is Friday night of an auction the time to sell it.

What you need to do is sell it on Saturday, when the bidders are all drunk.

If you have a child with cancer, that helps too.

That's actually funny, I told him that's not the place to sell prior from expierence, I wanted to buy the car, and would have paid up to $50k for it and even committed to that number for him, i think he insisted on $90k+, hell with the commission taken from BJ he just got stroked, too bad greed sometimes teaches us a hard lesson! Peace

This worrys the hell out of me. I have around $70,000 in my Camaro and I know I will never get it back out of it. I own a used car lot so I know the auction game very well. I would never of taken my car to a auction to sell it. NEVER!!! There is a ass for every seat and if you sell it right you will get a hell of alot more money for it. What was this guy thinking??? I would of paid $43,000 for that at auction and sold it for $59,995 and maybe dropped it down to $59,000 to give someone a deal. Is this a true story?

Yup, true I saw it posted a while back for I think 90K, I watched it go across the auction block at Barrett-Jackson yesterday.

Probably only got 10 cents on the dollar for his mods. Pretty sad. Gorgeous car. Barrett-Jackson good place to buy, bad place to sell!
