Looks good to me! If you are replacing them I will take them! they would look good on my car with the white ralley stripes

I used the dental floss to remove mine from the stripe then use a citrus based bug and tar remover called Lifter 1 to remove glue residue. Do not use anything Petrolium based because it will fade your stripes.

Here's Roger's black onyx gill inserts. Note the parking stripe reflected in them. Lot's better than the decals they replaced.

And yes, that's another SS behind me. Three of us own this particular section of parking lot.

Man, I keep coming to this thread to see what new stuff you guys are doing! All I can say is that I cannot wait until you get the licensing for the ZL1 so I can get my ZR1 style emblems done! They are the last exterior mod I have left to do!

Onyx black mirror plate.
Cutout letters in the center that add depth.
Gloss black acrylic inserted through the stainless for the letters on the ends.
A very nice but subdued look. I am Looking forward to installed pictures of these.

Ok a series of hydro parts by part. Only one part at a time to make it simple.

All parts are hand scrubbed to remove all dirt, grime, oils, etc...
Parts are then degreased, and adhesive promoter is applied.
After that at least one full coat of primer, and sanding.
Then base coat color is applied, sanded, and applied again. These first steps are all very important for a smooth finish.
Parts are then dipped in the tank.
After a thorough washing, parts are sent to clear coat for three coats of automotive clear to be sprayed.
Parts are then hand polished. Not everyone does this.

Rear diffusers: much nicer looking than a large black plastic piece on the rear.
