Thanks guys! It's been a fun project and now I'll never be able to get rid of it -- too much sentimental value that my dad and I did so much with it.

Sadly I don't have any pics of my wife with my car. Only us on our wedding day posing with our cars, she has a 2002 Firebird.

Haha - well I thought I lucked out with her being into FBodies. We met at a car show, I proposed at my website's car show in 2007 with the 2006 Camaro concept and the 2007 Camaro Convertible concept behind us. And now we hold our website's yearly Meet & Greet car show at the very location we first met. Unfortunately, now she has this "every dollar you spend on your car, I'm spending an equal dollar on clothes!"

Hahaha well first and foremost I've had it on a Mustang and a Dynojet so I already know what it makes. But more importantly - to put it lightly, Livernois dyno was not right at all. It was severely undercutting other cars. My buddy with his white Camaro with 35th anniversary stripes has a 6.0L with a decent sized cam and it wouldn't break 300hp on Livernois dyno at the Rodgers show. Today, that same car made 360hp on a different dyno without any changes being made. Still a lot lower than expected, but a lot better than less than 300 I understand that mustang dynos and dynojets can give different numbers, but yikes. If a 6.0L with a decent cam was coming up in the 270hp range it wasn't even worth it to put my LT1 on there and get smoked.

The other reason was that I was a few cars back in the line and they were staging a 383 LT1 Camaro on the dyno. I commented to the owner "We'll see how your car does - I hear the dyno is really putting out crappy numbers so if your car doesn't do good, I won't even bother putting mine on just to be embarrassed." They went to do the first run and he blew the elbow out of his water pump, dumping coolant everywhere. That was enough of a "sign" that I didn't need to dyno that day.

Well to make things even funnier.. my car with just an axleback pulled 294 off that Dyno at the rears. Still I would imagine that even on an undercutting Mustang Dyno a cammed and lightly bored LT1 would be capable of more than 315ish.

Not to mention Livernois was just halfassing the dyno operation there, and not running air/fuel so the numbers meant squat.

Just ribbing ya because you were right behind me and as next in line you just eeked out after the 383 blew the elbow on the dyno and the crew went into OMGWTF mode and then into 'We hate LT1s because they pee coolant on our dyno' mode after that..

Haha yeah - once that 383 blew the elbow I was done. On my way out there the motor on my electric cutout actually fell off on the freeway. I ended up having to go on the lift at Rodgers as soon as I got there so I could pop the cutout off. So that coupled with the other LT1 breaking down I really didn't want to push my luck so far away from home.

What numbers did you put out, anyway? I sent a text to my buddy with the 6.0L and I stand corrected - he made 380 something HP yesterday at our dyno day. Something was seriously messed up with the Livernois dyno that day - almost a 100hp difference between the Livernois dyno and Jakes Automotive dyno -- both are dyno jets too.

Leaving it how it is right now. Right now it's a good cruiser, which is really all that I was going for. Admittedly, some day I'd love to do heads, but aside from that only small mods here and there are in store.

294/300tq

Only had a Texas speed rumbler on the car. Bone stock it put out 304 on an identical model dyno. They did say they were running without a/f probes so the whole thing may have been a BS money grab. ZL1s were regularly pulling 445 at the rears..

Other shop that just did my LTs is running the dynos at C5fest (Backstreet perf.) and said that it sounded like the dynos were way out of line especially with no AF pickup. Ask your buddy if he had SAE corrections or standard corrections done on his pulls..
