Ok, Necro thread apology... but...

There are a number of vendors I have purchased from or who's products I use or both...

Matt @ ECS, for the Weld Wheels,
Frank @ DSS for the Nine inch Kit...
Pfadt for some of the suspension components via Apex Chase
Amsoil, which is the only oil that goes in my motor...

I don't yet have a picture off the trailer, but here is a picture of my car sporting the Welds, Hoosiers, MH racemasters, and we were on the way to the track for my first ever launch of a car with slicks, skinnies, and anywhere near this much power... It was brutally hot and quite humid, so there were no blazing time, but I sure learned a lot...

I want to thank all of you for your help along the way, directly or indirectly...

As mentioned, First time, so be gentle...

Car on the trailer...

My thoughts and write up if your interested...

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...postcount=3668

and the video of my first four launch attempts... Such the noob...

Thanks Bro

Sticky tires and a sticky track are sure different than getting a car off the line with street tires, or even drag radials...

what rpm are you launching at?

looks like you were shaving a lot of time off with every pass!

That was the experimental part..

First run... 2500, not enough
Second run...3800-4000
Third run.. ~~4500
Fourth run... 5K+... With a very lackluster burnout... I noticed that in another video I have... barely got the tires smoking before I shut it down...

Learning... As I mentioned in the writeup... The car is way faster than the driver at this point.... I just want to keep her healthy while I'm learning to drive it.

Thanks Frank...

I am loving the diff kit... It has inspired confidence as I do not worry about breaking anything back there... I was really amazed what the slicks on 17" wheels do for the launch. Not just the traction, but how much it softens the launch... It doesn't feel like someone slams me in the back anymore... The tires give so much... My next time out, I want to set up a camera looking at the sidewall of one of the back tires...

Thank You... It has been a long time for me as well... We've been working on it for about 18 months... but the light is glowing strong at the end of the tunnel.

Aren't those Weld rims drag use only (straight line) and not suitable for heavy cornering?

No, they are suitable for daily driving... Though the shoes I shod them with are not for cornering..
