lights tinted + plasti dip, before & after pics

I got a vinyl tint kit from Ebay, pre-cut for all exterior lights, including side markers. $40 for the kit, well worth it if you are good with vinyl and a heat gun.

While I was at it I removed and plasti-dipped the SS emblem in the grill and the bow tie on the trunk. I removed the SS on the trunk altogether.

Overall, I am really pleased with how it turned out. The tail lights and fog lights were a wicked b***h to get the tint on correctly due to the curvature of the lens, and I have more than a few wrinkles and 2 lights I want to re-do. All the other lights were super easy.

As long as I'm posting pics, here's a couple of my stripes. Had them painted on in a "ghost" effect, so they appear bright silver in direct sunlight but disappear in the dark or from different viewing angles.

Yeah, I know. I forgot to get pics. Will get some up soon, but I won't have any "before" pics.

Awesome work. Thought it was Batmobile or another super hero car at first glance. Did you lower suspension too?

Lol thanks. Not lowered yet, but 1" drop springs are on the future mod wish list. On a dark color like mine it really makes the car look more sinister (and lower and wider) to darken the lights so they blend into the body color better. Just my opinion, some folks hate the "blacked out" look.

Thanks! I get a lot of people who walk by the car and do a double-take because they didn't see the stripes at first.

As promised, lights on.
