Cold air intakes for the SS

I'm looking to buy one and can't decide. I was looking at the Vararam among others. Can you please give me some feedback. Thanks.

I am in the same boat as you, Dan. CAI is a favorite, as are Halltech and Roto Fab. Most of these seem to be similar in performance, and the addition of the scoop and washer relocate ups these as well.

However, when I have looked at Florida drivers, including a tuner in Tampa, Vararam seems to be a good hot weather choice. That is swaying my choice to Vararam.

Be sure to PM some dealers to check for the best price, and every now and then one comes up for sale in the member classifieds.

Good luck!

Jason

I love my Roto-Fab. I think it looks coolest. I Got rid of the washer bottle and im very happy with the sound and response.
With all Cold Air intakes, the gains are so little, it boils down to personal preference.

Let us know what you decide! My vote goes to CAI inc plus the Apex washer relocate and airscoop! My L99 came alive

Cheers from Portland

I got the AirAid. Middle of the pack performance, kinda funky design, but I'm happy with it!

Looking at a Jegs unit. They are claiming in their catalog a 30 hp gain. They are all over the racing circuit, so I figure they know what their doing.

The CAI Inc systems are by far our best sellers. They produce very solid gains across the entire RPM range, especially when you add a cold air scoop, and look great. Vararam and Roto-Fab tie for second.

I've ran the CAI, Halltech, and Vararam. Vararam is hands down my favorite.
