DRL harness?

Just a quick question about the DRL harness. I bought one used and it keeps the DRLs on with the headlights but now they don't come on by themselves during the day now, is this how it works? It looks as though it's this harness:

Depends on whose it is. You may need to go one click to the right on the headlight switch during the day to get halos and DRL's.

Its not that one its looks the same but is not, the one you got is for LS cars that dont have the wires in there to start if you look at the male end it will only have 4 pins in it for the SS/LT cars you need 6 pins.
