I dont agree with that but does that now mean that we are gonna get our doors blown off by girls in GT500's?...

They did run on streets of willow, which is a different track. Here is the map

Looks like it's going to come down to the track and the driver between these two cars on the road course. ZL1 is more refined, gt500 is more brute force balls to the wall.

Seems like ZL1 is the driver's car while GT500 is the "grab the oh shit handle" car. I would love to drive either one.

yeah finally shows that the GT500 with PP/TP is capable if you can keep a handle on it. I could not belive the time disadvantage in the other test could be real. I mean 63k car should be beating 58k car in my book.

I would like to see how the base car runs. I can't affoard PP/TP car so my choice was base Gt500 vs ZL1. I chose ZL1 but it was close. I would love to see that lap time. I will pay 56,001 for my Zl1 and could have gotten a base Gt500 for 54,995 but no cheaper

than again my comparisons in my head always revolve around $$$ because that is what I use to pay for the cars.

if you think about his logially here is how this broke down if you buy into these tests.

GT500 $63k($61.5k without recaro's)>ZL1 $58k>Boss 302 LS $50k

the drivers actually liked the drive of the ZL1 the best which of course means nothing becasue they have to be biased in some way the car could not just drive nicer. In my mind it all followed the $$$ you pay more you go faster.

In all honesty though I think all three cars are just awesome. one could easily walk away from all this and go wow the Boss 302 is a great deal I am going to buy that one.

I don't want to lecture you on road racing if you're experienced, so please don't take this the wrong way. If you're buying either of these cars for road racing and can't afford to grab the extra packages, stay away from both. If there is one thing absolutely certain about road racing it's that you WILL be spending lots and lots of money on tires and brake pads. If you're buying for just cruising and some fun WOT every once in a while, just drive both and see what you prefer.

If you are buying either of these cars for road racing you already made a mistake to begin with.

If I didn't see the result, I would have easily picked the ZL1 to be faster in the Streets of Willow track. The track lacks long straights for the GT500 to use its massive hp advantage. I am really surprised by this.

This is why I want an NA Z28/LS7. I don't want or need the frills of either of these cars as impressive as they may be.
