Thanks for the reply!
Ok so just to reconfirm your steps.... -Disconnect battery -remove factory radio/ unplug factory harness -plug new hvac wires into w910/wire parking break, etc -connect Onstar module -connect cable to new hvac controller -reconnect battery terminal -enter car, wait 7 minutes Until car goes into sleep mode -connect new radio/hvac harness to factory harness -with door closed start car Is this correct? I was connecting to factory harness first, connecting battery and and waiting 7 minutes before connecting the new hvac and i have had problems with Onstar. Tks again 104 |

Got my alpine kit and head unit today. Gonna try installing this weekend. Fingers crossed

I love your install and how the system looks, however, both Alpine and Scosche just don't seem dependable or completely functional. I continue to read about recalls, software updates, and not being completely compatilble with everything in the car.
As much as I want the system I think I'm going to wait a little longer hoping both manufacturers get it together and make the system bullet proof. Russ |

I installed the same HU and Alpine dash kit yesterday. I forgot to make one connection for the steering wheel controls, but that was my fault. Followed the procedure and all works very well. I'll fix my mistake this coming weekend.

I just installed the Alpine dash kit and W910 in my 2011 2SS today and am having one issue. There is no bass, its like the Boston Acoustics built in amp and speaker aren't working. Any idea what I might have done wrong?
