2011 interior trim question (I'm stupid)
Hello all
hoping somebody can help i have a 1 lt convertible with the black cloth trim on the door above the ac vents and along the dash etc my father has the 2 ss with the silver/gray which i much prefer, i saw the trim panel on the gmparts site but they have since stopped selling it, anyway last night (as they say nothing good happens after 2 am) i was surfing ebay as i couldn't sleep looking at the gauges etc when i stumbled across the door panels for sale (the whole interior of the door) at a fairly reasonable price (bid) so without thinking i guess due to the time i placed the bid however upon actual review this morning obviously it doesn't have the trim on the dash just the doors so i was wondering if that was something i could get on its own and if its easily removable or any part numbers etc you guys know of or failing that anyone near orlando want to buy some 2ss interior door panels lol |

There are two pieces (RH & LH sides). These #'s are for silver & hopefully what you're looking for:

I have been trying to get the non-cloth dash and door panels (to custom paint) for the last 6 months. Dealers and the guys at GMpartshouse.com have said that yes, they are not available at all. Is what I ended up doing it taking the cloth ones out, stripping the cloth off, sanding, prepping and painting the panels. It has been a week long process but I should be done with them this weekend.
So to answer your question, the dash ones are very easy to remove. they just pop out. But as others have said, good luck trying to find the colored ones. Beware the ones you can buy custom painted from a few vendors around here. THEY ARE NOT AUTHENTIC GM parts, they are cheap, poorly make fiberglass knock offs that do not fit right. Maybe you can do what I did. I have also heard people covering them in vinyl, which i suppose would look good and be easier. I just cant find RJT vinyl anywere.

RPIdesigns sells the interior trim available in any color if you can't find it anywhere else. That's where I got mine. Ordered it in SIM and it matches the trim around the gauges and steering wheel.

I'm doing what Infinite did, and I"m painting mine. I already got my paint in, and I"m gonna start tomorrow and see how far I can get. I'm doing the dash trim first and the panels later since those are the PITA parts.
