I ordered a ZL1 and I've got a 2010 2SS/RS with only 7700 miles on it and almost as much tied up in mods as the car was new. 90% of the Mods were done by ADM Performance so they're done right. Gonna decide after the ZL1 comes in which one to keep. I know I'll take a beating if I sell the 2010 and it wouldn't be as bad of a beating if I sell the ZL1. I may keep both but that wouldn't be very practical. If I decide to sell the 2010 hopefully I'll get someone that really understands what goes in to building a car. Decisions, decisions.......

I considered the SS too before I understood what a beast the ZL1 really is and the extra 15K wasn't that much more over the SS. My '13 VIN# 115 will soon arrive in Texas and I can't wait. The ZL1 could be your once in a lifetime opportunity whereas the SS are a dime a dozen. YOU will have to hunt for a dealer with allocation, so you better have plenty of patience to acquire the Z. Happy hunting!!!

I got both. The 45th Anniversary SS Convertible was an easy sell to my wife, and I glommed onto the ZL1 on the showroom floor.

I would say if you are looking for ZL1 type performance you would be much better off purchasing one.

I was planning on doing Full exhaust/suspension work to what ever year SS i was going to get (probably a 13). Then again SS's are so common here where i live and i've always dreamed of having a ZL1. I used to own a 2010 SS so i know what they are like. I want to know what you guys think i should do?!
If you had an SS, then you know how fast/slow it feels to you...

If you have the cash to buy a ZL1, do it, you'll regret it IMO if you'll step into another SS.

I think Champion Chevy still have its white/m6/black wheels car because they are asking too much for it. Drop in and talk them down.

If cost is not an issue why would you even consider an SS?

Congratulations! Please let us know what your favorite feature is. Have you been able to take one for a test drive?

I won't be able to pick it up it for another month, but i am excited. I'm thinking the feature i am most excited about is the racing modes and HUD.

The ZL1 is a great daily driver and an absolute ball to drive. Adjust the suspension for your comfort and press the pedal past 1/3 to kick in boost and go stupid fast. Take it to the track and have fun. If it breaks, take it to the dealer.
