I'm a Camaro fan, not that I hate the Mustang, I just like the Camaro better (which is my perogative). The Mustang is a great car, no matter what trim level (except for the V6, you just cant call it a muscle car with a v6... sorry but that goes for the Camaro too, for me anyway). And I was all on board with the ZL1 kicking the GT500's ass in the roadcourse. But now that we've actually seen the H2H comparison, I accept that the GT500, as far as track time and performance goes, is at least equal to the ZL1 if not better on the track (I'm still not ready to talk about the qtr mile, but give it time...)

I'm not sure what the 2012 GT500's numbers are, but the camparison is new to new. The ZL1 is a late bloomer for the 2012 model year. The GT500 is brand new for the 2013 model year. They're comparing the two competitors that are available now, not what was built last year. To do that would make Chevy look like they're scared to face what's here now.

I see the comparison here on video and I see the numbers posted by both cars, but I gotta say, I'd really like to see a true head to head race on Mazda Raceway Leguna Seca with BOTH cars on the track at the SAME TIME. Not to see if the ZL1 will do better this time around, but I just think it would be an exciting thing to watch.

No changes (other than added a few options and no CF).

That is a bit like saying car "x" is the better car overall. It is all realtive. If you value the ease and repeatability of the results, regardless of the competitions times, then the ZL1 is a better track car FOR YOU. If you best track car is the one that gets around the track the fastest, then the GT500 is the better track car FOR YOU.

I think the whole repeatability thing is a joke anyways. Once you get to know the car and have hours of course time with either, I am will to bet your track results are going to be pretty consistant in either car.

Because all he had to go on was the 2011 GT 500 ( maybe the 2012) specs. That is why. You didn't prove anything!

So you are saying that he knew over a year in advance what ford would do to counteract the ZL1....dang I wish I could see into the future.

Ok, so.. GoldenBear, in this thread, made a comment asking for proof, in link form, of someone saying the GT500 would never be faster than the ZL1.

I, HumanWiki, in the same thread, did so willingly go search through posts to find such commentary. Upon finding said commentary, I linked them in this thread as was the challenge.

This has 0 to do with Al and everything to do with answering GoldenBear's challenge.

Please explain to me what part of this is complicated so that I may better word my responses in the future.

But, that wasn't why I posted the link, now was it. GB didn't have a timeline in there. It was a direct challenge to find a link stating something. I found two and linked to them.

Though, this is talking about the 2011 (but, is later pointed out that the "current" GT500 is 2012, not 2011 --- and, I believe that the challenge issues later about going back to the drawing board was done and delivered)
