I'm actually shocked they did away with the CD player portion of the headunit. I always assumed there was one tucked away behind the screen.

That's downright silly.

I believe it will all be pre-loaded on the radio like the aftermarket car radios....no monthly fees

How would you do upgrades? Take it to the shop and have them upload the new maps? That would be like taking your iPod to the apple store every time you wanted to add new music.

Take a look at the DIY section. 2SSRS has posted some information and is looking into Retro fitting this into 2010 - 2012 Camaros. On his first post there is a parts break down of the New Infotainment System and it CLEARLY SHOWS that the system takes a Disk for the Navigation Info. Also this system is like the system I have in my 2005 Dodge Magnu, which is AM/FM, 6 disk CD Player, Sirius Satelite Radio, and Navigation, it does not have the touch screen feature. If I compare MyLink to this the only thing MyLink does not have is the 6 disk CD Player. I also prefer to see all of the Navigation information, not just the next turn like it is with OnStar turn-by-turn.

According to 2SSRS's (ofer) MyLink upgrade thread, the diagram shows a disc (cd/dvd) for the map. It's behind the screen. How you get to it is another matter.

I'd post the link, but that's hard to do on a phone.

On another note more 2013 pics are showing up on cars.com when you search by 2013 Camaro and then sort by pictures.

Like many others, I don't like the new wheel style. It's to thin and spindly for the muscular nature of the Camaro. The Hurst shifter looks like a generic shifter from 'any car'. The frameless mirror, is a 'nice to have' but certainly not a deal breaker.

However, I do like the MyLink... that would be a nice add on. I don't like the interface tho... that XM background just looks so cheesy.

Hopefully it won't be a huge outlay to upgrade!

How come it's a '22' now (post # 3)? I don't remember any posts about a new model except the ZL1 and some folks salivating for a Z28. What happened to the 'SS' version?.

The my link looks kick a**. I like the wheels and mirror. Might have to hold off on Modding mine and upgrade to the 13
