Mace IM and 25mm, and fuel trims

Hi all,
I installed my Mace ported IM and 25mm spacer today.
I have a Tricecta tune, solo hfc, solo catback, and cai inc cai.

I installed as per the instructions, pulled fuses 5 and 20. No cel after the install.
The i stallation process was a process. We had to make new brackets for the front and the back sides. No biggie.

I have a dashdaq data logger. I notice my LTFT are trending to -10 now, admittedly with only about 20 miles on the car since the install.

Does anyone have info on their experience?

Thanks,
- Dave

Sounds normal to me...my trims did the same whenever I first installed my RX insulator, and I'd imagine yours are fluxuating even more with the ported IM. I watched my trims very closely the first two or three drives and over time they settled down. They went from negative to positive before settling closer back to zero.

Give it time...at least 30 to 50 miles or more of varied driving. If you don't see a positive change after a good while then it may be time to contact Vince about your tune....and then wait two months for him to get back with you lol.

I would agree. Give it 50-90 miles to adapt.

What brackets are you talking about though? The small front support is absolutely not needed.....and the rear one helps hold the low pressure fuel ine ridgid is also not needed if those are the ones your talking about.

I suspect you will be happy and the fuel trims will get to where they should be.

The rear bolts that held the fuel line, what a pain!
We made a couple of aluminum pieces and bolted those to the intake. We determined that there was no way to bolt those to the fuel line, so we used tie-wraps. We really did make best efforts!
On the front where there is the manifold support (the large piece on aluminum), we made an extension bracket. Not too hard. Two pieces of aluminum with holes one inch apart, and a spacer made from a piece of backalite . Hooked up great.
The hardest part of the install wa getting the bolts alined. Trial and error.

It is too soon to tell. I want to give the computer time to settle down before I draw too much of an opinion.

After a week and several hundred miles, I think the computer knows all it will learn to know about these new parts.
The fuel trims are fine when driving, but are still about -9 when idling.
Just for everyone's info

idle is not really the problem. These LTFT can go from 0 to 15 -/+
LTFT is always compensating for all conditions, from 100F heat to -20F freezing cold, to more airflow, and etc..etc.. DI engines are very hard to impossible to dial in right at "0", Also note that our LLT motor does not have map or we could SD tune which would create much more headroom for extra airflow such as CAI, porting, etc..and maf would be totally eliminated.
