Camaro5 has almost no other option but to hold C5FEST IV in Texas. The Texas 5th Gens have traveled in very large numbers to Fest I, Fest II and soon Fest III. Here's the thing though ... if you take an area of Texas & plop it over just about any part of the United States, you are going to see quite a few Camaro5 members that have made the trek to at least 2 'Fests (well, if you do that in say 6 weeks). IMO ... the fact that Camaro5Fest has been 'close enough' for a lot of Texans 3 years in a row kinda works against them hosting it.

ACTUALLY shouldn't work FOR THEM?? seeing as how DEDICATED are so maybe they deserve it?? LOL I'm just sayin'

No, because as I see it, they've been lucky to have had the opportunity to go to all 3 fests. Has it ever been close? No, it hasn't. But its also never been more than about a 2 day drive away either. The folks off in Florida, New York, and California can't say that.

<hey all, The timeline for the autox are correct in the autox thread! The times in the OP of this thread are wrong. Autocross drivers and volunteers can get all their info from the links in my signature. Either in the OP or subsequent posts- I keep the OP updated.

now you just being a fuddy duddy! lol and actually in teh biginning of this thread, or was it the other one...hmmmmm anyway, if we want a truely CENTRAL location, St. Louis at the Gateway Race Track might work.

What state holds three of the top ten cities by population? Texas
What state will have had the best representation at all THREE FESTS? Texas

Houston to Indy is over 1,000 miles.

Dallas to Phoenix is over 1,000 miles

El Paso to Voldosta is over 1,500 miles

New York to INDY is 700 miles

New York to Voldosta is 987 miles

New York to Phoenix is 2,500 miles which is what happens when you go coastal.

New York Average 1,395

Texas Average 1,166

The numbers will be skewed for the West coast after Indy.

Now there is Texas and a few neighborhoods in New York, Chicago, Philly and Saint Louis

I have driven 7,681 miles to Camarofest Events.
2,564 miles BBOMG Events
2,496 Miles MTI Events

Total 12,741 miles supporting Camaro5.. and alot of my Canadian and East Coast friends have alot more.

Just Saying...But I do appreciate all that my Texas Friends do.....

Is it too late to register? Will not arrive until noon on Friday. Guess I'm lucky it's a relatively short drive from St. Louis. I assume that there is always room for one more.

Absolutely, there is a hotel in Chicago that still has rooms... and maybe in Bowling Green...

J/K, come on, there is plenty of room and the Friday night parking lot party may be off the hook... retract that, every night the parking lot parties are simply amazing...

Check in with the overflow hotels, and/or start a thread looking for a room in the host hotel... Some people have to cancel and will give up their reservations as timne gets closer...
