Once the car is invoiced to the dealer it can show in
the dealers inventory. It's an automatic process and
not done directly by the dealer. Most of us would rather
not have sold vehicles posted as inventory, have people
call only to be told it's sold - frustrating on all levels

Same thing happened with my Camaro. It shows up with a status of "In Transit." If you click the link to see the window sticker it says:

Window Sticker:
Error

The VIN number is invalid; the vehicle might have been sold; please search again.
