Yeah it's crazy how my opinion changed within a couple of days about this car. I won't even consider now and i appreciate all the advice to assure I run from this one. I did have a pretty clean 92 Rs I sold back in march that I kinda regret but the 3rd gens definitily rattle more than any car i've ever drove.

Kelley Blue Book doesn't go back that far... but based on the pattern, and other info, I think that an '84 in pretty decent condition would sell for around $1800, in my So Cal region. Price would be lower for issues like a poor customization (no idea how good that vert install is), or broken/ rusted/ leaking stuff. And, if it is not registerable (liens, safety, emissions, mods, whatever) and cannot be driven legally on a road, it's not good for much of anything... can't really race a topless car for safety reasons.

And... how much will putting your own wheels on this thing cost?

Sounds like you've made your wise decision to run away from this thing already... just driving the point home a little further.
