I had to renew my registration this month...but I had to smog my car...BUT IT DIDN'T PASS!

Is there anything I can do?!?!?!

It's a 94 Camaro 3.4L V6 with 223k miles.

Well, you could try replacing the cats...or get them really hot before you go in.....if they will test you as soon as u get there, make sure to give the car a little gas on the way

Fresh air filter and a fresh oil change, always did it for my 84 Suburban. It was an Alaska rig and smog tested in California. They said it was better than a new car. The motor had about 2500 miles on it though. It had the orignal cat as well.

I had that problem in CA with my 1970 Firbird... Carb adjust should do it... but it will run like crap. Once you get your pass then tune her back up again.

Sell and or trade it in for a car with less miles.

Seriously, buy a new Camaro

Run premium fuel and give it a decent tune up before the next inspection. Other than that I can't help.

There is enough bad rumor around the internet about the poor 5th Gen Camaro already.

My 98 failed to pass one year and the shop just put a scan tool into the OBD connection that gave them the code for the problem. It ended up being a blown fuse that allows the computer to communicate with the smog machine. So have a shop see if your emission system is putting out a code.
