I still can't believe this everytime I see it. How can it be built 3 weeks ago and still not even be bayed. Maybe they forgot it on the line, and it's been going round and round...

I read somewhere that if your car was built and either was missing a part or had a defective part, it was put on a dolly and set aside until such time the part arrived. Then it was put back into the production line. That's the only reason I can think of. Did you attempt to contract Larry@ GM connects with the exact issue? If not give it a try. He has been awesome in answering my questions. Might even have an inside man to check out what's going on. Can't believe your dealer cannot find out. Here is to hoping you get answers...

Mine was held at 3800 for almost a week and I talked to Larry about it and he provided the same explanation as one of the possibilities. The other possibility was extra QC. Larry says that on occasion they pull a car or two off to the side and spend extra time going over it with a fine tooth comb... Not sure how long they hold it for but since it has been 3 weeks, I am going to assume it is a missing part. I can't imagine extra QC taking 3 weeks.

He most likely will not be able to tell you the reason.

I'd be very surprised and disappointed if our cars don't ship this week.

My dealer said 168 is sitting on a train waiting for a full load. At least it wasn't melting in the U.S.. It has been a long year.

Hello all,

Vehicles are leaving the plant each day and, as your vehicle is shipped, its status in your dealer's order tracking system will be updated. At that point, your dealer is in the best position to give you an estimated delivery time based on distance from the assembly plant. I know that it is a difficult wait, but we thank you for your patience.

Did you guys break gmconnects? I got my order number today (QKZJ2K) from the dealer that put the build date at 7/23. He then told me that tracking it online won't work anymore and to call a 1-800 number. Anyone hear about this or is the dealer wrong?

He might have mean't Chevy's online order tracking. GMConnects was setup by a group of helpful folks with ties to GM but it's not an offical site. And don't bother calling the Chevy Customer Service 800 #. Terrible service the 1 time I tried to call, and they haven't ever called me back like they said they would.... go figure.

This afternoon I was travelling eastbound on the QEW in the Mississauga area, and saw a transport truck heading eastbound with only two cars on it. Both were Camaros, and the hoods looked like ZL1's. One looked IOM, the other red. I had a very short moment to look at them before we were well down the road from one another. I'd wished that I was travelling the in the opposite direction in order to be sure.
Hopefully this gives some hope...
