I feel engine size is fine, if at all, but it's way too easy to change the horsepower. Then the badge would either have to be changed or it would be incorrect.

That's the Badge I had Emblempros design for my first car. They looked really good on the sides of the Cowl when you have black stripes. If you are not going to be doing any performance mods then HP is good. But so would be 3.6L or even 3.6 LLT

I just put LS3 on my hood. Sorry for the bad pic, just shot a quick pic in the garage.

I'll admit I got the HP badge over the winter once I had the car dyno'd after my mods then held it up to the cowl to see how it would look... didn't care for it so I left my "RS" badge as-is - that looks great and was ahead of its time back in 2009 considering how Chevy put the ZL-1 badge on the cowl...
I agree with Sir Nuke one on the back trunk lid would look better but resisted doing even that...

I bought LS3 emblems intending to put them on the cowl. When I got them I decided I really didn't like the way they looked there. I wound up putting one on the engine cover and I still have the other.
If you're going to put anything on the cowl it should be either displacement or engine designation imo. It's your car so go with what makes you happy.

I like the letters integrated into the spears the best.

print it with color printer with the colors you want, cut it out and use a little tape and step back and take a look at it, then decide

I like the 3.6L idea! I have the 6.2L badges on my cowl and love it! I get compliments all the time. As others have said, the HP rating on your car may change, therefore it might not be the best idea.
