Can I retrofit this into my G8? Will it have the ability to sew blankets and make me fresh salsa?

So the MyLink connects to your phone's data and GPS for navigation? How does it do it, blue tooth or USB connection?
The NAV option (not available yet) has its own antenna but you have to buy updates? What about the OnStar nav, where does that fit in? So say you get a '13 with MyLink and the Nav, you'd have the car nav, OnStar, and your phone's gps to help you navigate... seems a bit redundant

As a matter of fact, I do have an older entertainment system that my parents bought that has an AM/FM radio, LP and 8-track player. It still works though I only use it as a nostalgic piece of furniture. I can't remember what I did with that shoe phone..alzheimers, you know. lol Not totally against new tech stuff. As planned, I did order (to choose all the options I wanted) my 2010 Camaro as soon as I got my chance to take one for a test ride. That counts for something, don't it? |

It's not just the mylink that we'd need to get, but the dash insert as well. I don't know if I want to go with the MyLink (which I probably will) or if I'll go with a step up Alpine, Pioneer, etc. Found this today. |

Some of us refuse to use MP3 or any streamed music source. The music is compressed and looses much of it's frequency response.
I will play you a CD and that very track transferred from that CD to an iPod back to back, and you will notice a sound quality difference. Mainly the lack of bass from the iPod. Do not tell me to quit using CDs and get with the modern times. I'm not going to sacrifice sound quality for ease of use. This isn't going from records to tapes or tapes to CDs. Both the sound quality AND the ease of use is there on a CD. Not on an iPod. Shows how people simply don't care about the sound quality of what they listen to, probably as little as they care about music in general considering what passes for popular music today. If GM was wise they'd offer a navigation system WITH a CD changer AND MP3/iPod/Pandora etc. connectivity in the Camaro. |

It's all digital once you get past vinyl. I have a hard time telling the difference anymore between CD and MP3, mainly because I'm used to it now. I've been listening to MP3 in my car since 2010 so I don't really get a chance to break out the CDs. For the car, I prefer convenience over sound and having my Zune wired in is much more convenient than having to dig through my CDs. Even when I had a 12 disc changer in my 2002 WS6, it wasn't enough and I'd have to change out CDs constantly. |

Call me old fashioned but I like buttons on my radio. :-)
![]() I'd love the Nav though and big color screen to name a few things... How much extra will this cost? -Sorry if I missed that post. But it's about time the Camaro grew up and caught up with the other cars' technology. Good for you Chevy!
