This is the same lady that said, with the "chip" in her car she has close to my horsepower. I don't get too bothered by her. It's almost entertainment.

Someone told me my car sounded like a truck once too.
It bothered me for a little bit... But then it didn't.

To the casual listener, one V8 sounds like another V8. Where I live there are many more V8 pickups than there are V8 cars, so maybe that's what's coloring her impression. Many of these trucks out-loud any nearby Camaro or Mustang.
The point is, a V8 sounds 'big.'

My cars gone from factory mufflers to straight pipes to flowmasters back to straight pipes after 3 weeks with the flowmasters now sitting in my garage. Don't get me wrong, I like the flowmaster sound, and maybe it was the 40 series I installed, but it just muffled the sound too much.

Funny guy... straight pipes ARE the real exhaust... to each their own but I'll take the natural sound any day.

IMHO, straight pipes have no "depth" to the sound. I'll take deep over loud any day. Again, just my opinion.
