Maybe I'll hear it today if you are going to Lonestar tonight

June 2012 - Resonated X-Pipe Installed

Magnaflow Performance Muffler (Resonated X-Pipe) Product # 11386. 2.5" Dual in / Dual out

[/QUOTE]

Got the installation done today for $125 at Meineke.

So far very impressed, definitely a more subtle deeper sound to the tone without the rasp and doesn't sound like I am screaming from the lights every time I pull away. Opened her up on the way home and got some wheel spin as I shifted into second which normally only used to happen with my traction turned off - so seems like I have helped the airflow with the x-pipe and maybe squeezed some more torque out of her.

Next up is my ported IM / insulator & plenum spacer which I expect to get on Tuesday - can't wait to get them installed !

Will probably have my stock IM up for sale if anyone wants to buy it - could probably sell for $200 shipped obo. Would be great for anyone wanting porting work done but not able to spare the downtime.

Yeah, I jacked the car up and pulled back the wheel liners, you can then get access to the DRLs from there. I also installed the field goal harness which keeps them on with the headlamps.

Very nice. Where did you get the harness from if you don't mind me asking.

The user fieldgoal used to post on this site made them but he wouldn't pay the sponsor fees so was stopped from selling them on c5. I believe he gets on modercamaro.com now though.

So I got my Intake manifold painted including the plenum cover and the spacer and I should be ready to get them installed this weekend - I'll post the feedback once I've tested it out. I should also be in a position soon to sell my stock Intake Manifold for anyone interested. I opted to paint the plenum spacer red (not shown in this picture).

That's not really why, but either way... he's still not here anymore, but he is on our H-Town Forums too. He's working on a custom one for me right now.

Quieter than before, deeper tone but none of the rattle (rasp) - Still loud when you step on it but more discreet when you need it - Doesn't sound as if I'm speeding away from every light unless I actually am Definitely pleased with the outcome.

July 2012 - Ported Intake Manifold, 25mm Manifold Insulator and Plenum spacer.

Managed to get everything installed this morning, struggled a little with realignment of the bolts in the new manifold but got there in the end. I'll have to baby it for the next 50-75 miles or so to let the ECU relearn but engine sounds and feels smoother. I wouldn't exactly say that the manifold is cold after driving but you can touch it (feels hot but not unbarable to touch) probably not helped that I painted it black.

Oh and the Vararam fits like a glove now, much better than before and the gap has improved.

did you also noticed your exhaust tone change? A little deeper and a little louder The red spacer and all black make it look real tough! I love it.
