I was beginning to think the TT 3.0L was just going to be a race build. This is interesting. I would love GM to develope both 3.0 and 3.6L FI engines for domestic use.

Been predicting this for the past 2 years.....looking good!

I suspect that is either the HPFP or an external oil pump

Are those threaded ports in each one of the exhaust header outlets? Surely they aren't putting 02 sensors in each one are they? Maybe just a test unit?

You're just double-fisting the fail.

TT V6 is awesome. I'm so excited to see more!

Yep... the down low torque of a turbo is hard to argue with!

Just for fun, let's take a look at a 2002 WS6 with the 5.7 LS1:

Horsepower : 310 @ 5200 RPM
Torque : 350 @ 4000 RPM

Now my STOCK 3.5 V6 EcoBoost:

Horsepower : 355 @ 5700 RPM
Torque : 350 @ 1500 RPM

So who's going to have more area under the torque curve? LOL

And that's the stock Flex version... The F-150 version gets 365 HP and 420 ft/lbs of torque at 2500 RPM!!!

And as I mentioned the Flex version is SERIOUSLY DETUNED! Look at the huge improvement in low end torque with just a tune!

So yeah... Love to see some more TT V6 action!!!

Does anyone care to explain in layman's terms the difference between twin turbos and supercharged engines?

"The key difference between a turbocharger and a supercharger is its power supply. Something has to supply the power to run the air compressor. In a supercharger, there is a belt that connects directly to the engine. It gets its power the same way that the water pump or alternator does. A turbocharger, on the other hand, gets its power from the exhaust stream. The exhaust runs through a turbine, which in turn spins the compressor".

Yeah, look how quickly the torque comes on and how slowly it falls. Excellent power curve!
