The engine oil filled at factory is semi or full synthetic?

I'm not positive if it comes in all the Camaro models, but the SS's come with Mobil 1.

Mobil 1 in our cars if it is that is not full syn. Also the oil is some Dexos GM brand stuff a semi syn grade. Bottom line that GM oil will never set it's rear end in my oil pan again.

my 2010 ss was mobil 1 factory filled, but now the ss comes with the dexos semi synthetic. that was drained at 1k miles on mine and use mobil 1 5/30 from here on out.

Neto....running the build sheet on your car again,the build date is 10/12/2010 which was before mine (02/01/11) and mine came with MOBIL1,so yours would have had MOBIL1 as well. It will also say "MOBIL1" on the oil filler cap.
I believe very late build '11 cars came with Dexos,and all 2012's call for Dexos.
Keep in mind your Silverado also calls for Dexos.

I never break in engines with synthetic oil, GM did the right thing. I change oil early on new engines, no more than 500 miles.

True,you have to run MOBIL1 "Extended Performance" for a group IV true full synthetic oil.
Also,GM brand Dexos oil is made by Mobil.

Same here,I've always done my first oil/filter change between 500-1,000 miles.

so my car has close to 30k and oil change is coming up. should I go with factory again and use the dexos or change to mobil 1 and would this void any warrenty?
