You may want to double check the shop!! Wideband A/F is a very important gauge to have to see if you're running lean or rich, not sure why they would say that? Same with boost too, you always want to make sure car's performing at optimal level.

For the A/F gauge you need to tap into the exhaust with a bung (sensor) that is provided and weld it in. Boost taps into a vacuum hose on the SC. Everything is included with the EVO series gauges. Probably a 3 hour job with a lift. I'm very happy with my choices as are quite a few others that have the same set up.

Here's a thread called Show us your Gauges, plenty of good info & pics there to help you.

Autometer are okay.

I would prefer Defi gauges, AEM gauges personally.

So if it was me I would get AEM uego wideband a/f gauge, Boost gauge is fine, and a pencil stick shift light. I believe you only would ever need two gauges, the A/F gauge will tell you a lot, then just install them in a autometer dual pillar pod.

like so

The nice part is they have a digital LED read out which is much easier to see then just an analog dial which is impossible to see at WOT.

If you have any questions let me know, we inventory all these items as well if you need them as a C5 price.

i disagree,

we install lots of Prosport gauges. not many problems. ive installed aem gauges and have had problems with their sensors going out.

Fair enough. I do not endorse Pro Sport that is all.

Got mine on Ebay, I believe Summit has an Ebay store. Just search Autometer gauge pod on ebay, you'll find it.

Just make sure whatever gauges you get have alarms. If anyone tells you they can watch the boost or AFR gauge at full throttle, then their car isnt fast enough.

That is why I use the aeroforce. I can set alerts for whatever I want. If I am at the track I have it set to alarm if I am over a certain boost and afr goes too lean, or to alarm on and knock detected.

Great setup! I just purchased the same guages and Pod.

if you run a triple pod i would do fuel pressure, boost, and just do a interceptor w/ a wideband hookup.

Hahaha I disagree with this. It's probably a good idea to back up statements like this with some proof. I have the Evo gauges and have never had a problem with them.
