But, if you'd like to go with the museum tour on the way, the group not taking the tour could drive through to the Louisville stop and have a longer lunch break.
I think this would be great, as I will be impatient to get to Indy, but not in a rush to get home

Tysen, can you PM me your tentative time line so we can coordinate? We're planning to stop in Murfreesboro as it's 193 miles from our first rally point and a good gas stop.

My .02
Shane, your .02 is worth more than .02, good point!

How are things?

Our whole timeline will be based off your departure time from ATL. Have you guys ironed that out yet?

ATL Group! I say we leave @ 5:00AM from town center mall. This will give us a 1 hour cushion to arrive @ 3:00PM in INDY. Just bump up Diane's schedule 15 minutes and go with it. This will also put us in Chattanooga @ about 6:30ish which should put us just ahead of rush hour. I HATE traffic so this is a plus!
This cushion allows time for any problems, group gatherings, food, fuel, etc...

Okay my .04. I am done for the day, running out of pennies.

Glad we are staying active talking about this. I've got 16 people down for Thursday so far and 16 down for Wednesday (I'm getting information for both days to help CamaroSpike out).

So are we moving the schedule up as in earlier 15 minutes? Like this:

5:00AM ET Depart from Town Center Mall area or some other exit off I-75
8:00AM ET Arrive in Murfreesboro, TN area for gas stop & snacks (195 miles approx)
8:30AM ET Depart Murfreesboro, TN area
9:15AM - 9:45 ET Arrive Nashville, TN area for rally point (35-40 miles)
12:30PM ET Arrive Louisville, KY area for gas stop, lunch and rally point (175 miles approx)
1:30PM ET Depart Louisville, KY area
3:30PM ET Arrive Indianapolis (114 miles approx)

Now we really need to start working on specifics. Locations of stops.

Looks like the first stop for the Atlanta team will be Town Center Mall. Does this work for everyone departing from there?

Murfreesboro - DPerry Hook us up with an address if you can of a good stop near there!

Nashville point - Ideas anyone?

Louisville - Going to talk to shesabeast for a spot

4:45AM ET Rally at Chevron Food Mart, I-75/Chastain Rd, Kennesaw, GA
5:00AM ET Depart from Chevron Food Mart, I-75/Chastain Rd
8:00AM ET Arrive in Murfreesboro, TN area for gas stop & snacks Pilot Travel Center, Murfreesboro (193 miles)
8:30AM ET Depart Pilot Travel CenterMurfreesboro, TN
9:15AM - 9:45 ET Arrive Nashville, TN area for rally point (35-40 miles)
Can we make this north of Nashville? It will be 8:15 to 8:45 there, as they are on central time, I believe
12:30PM ET Arrive Louisville, KY area for gas stop, lunch and rally point (175 miles approx) Can we also make this north of Louisville as we will have to take the detour because of construction in that area. It would be great if this area could have easy on/off access and multiple places to eat so we don't overwhelm one location.
1:30PM ET Depart Louisville, KY area
3:30PM ET Arrive Indianapolis (114 miles approx)

I started a google map today at work. I'll try to work on it more tomorrow and share it................

For all those interested......I've put together a partial proposal of the route map. I've sent it to some of the more vocal members for opinions! We'll be posting a proposed route map with stops and times once we can come to a consensus on the route! If you have any suggestions, now is the time to make them. One non-negotiable is that I will be leaving early to arrive in Indianapolis in time for the Thursday evening festivities!

Hahaha. Being a straggler isn't a terrible thing. Just someone I pm'd and hadn't received a response back from. No worries. Just trying to get people's info before the fest to make sure that communication is easy.
