Becky, I was wondering if you or anyone else has heard if the next ZL1 allocation will not have the constraint on the CF hood insert. My dealer called me today to say that he got his allocation

, so my order could be placed

. But his allocation did not have the CF insert in it

, which I did order. He gave me the option to change my order or wait. He gave me no guarantee the next allocation, if any, would have the insert allowable. My decision is killing me. Do I change and get what I didn't order or wait and possibly not get one at all. The dealer said I could think about it til Sat. by lunch, I'm assuming there is someone else that is waiting to take the spot. Any info would be appreciated. Also if I could get peoples opinion on what to do it would really help me. Thanks to everyone in advance.

Isn't this unusual to be at 3800 this long, especially when others are shipping?

Gmconnects shows 07/16/2012 - (2000) Order accepted by GM. Dealer used allocation to place order into production. Congrats You are now in the system

Well, I talked to the dealer. I'm pretty sure they think I'm a complete idiot that is just making this stuff up.

After I explained my question about a few NAV systems being available and whether they were alloted any for this week or next, they said VERY slowly...

"YES, when your car comes, it will have navigation on it!"

Without using profanity, I managed to politely rearticulate my question and he said he'll talk to the inventory manager.

We'll see what they come back with!

Drop the Exposed CF insert and get the car

That's my vote

Unfortunately there's no way of telling what the next
round of constraints might be - better to change it than
risk losing it.

Some what, but it's still fairly early in the
model year and these things can happen. :(
