The Autocross is a social event. The pit and staging areas are open to spectators. We'll have canopies, tables and chairs for you to hang out. We'll provide ride alongs for those that are new to AC. If you have never run AC come to the oval. Drag racing is great for 10 seconds, but even a short AC runs 3 times as long. If you haven't signed up, now is a good idea.

Drag racing is social too.

We even have grandstands where you can sit and watch multiple side by side races with many cars in the time it takes for one AutoX...

True and unless you are Pedderised it is best to keep that ZL1 in a straight line

YOu guys do tranny fluid swaps?

I am having to align the car here before I leave since I'm swapping out my front coil-overs. I'll put my Pedders kit on the car here and have it aligned. Of course these guys here can't get a steering wheel straight.

I'm doing the diff lube but the tranny seems kind of a pain.

To do the tranny right you need to hook it up to a machine. Simply dropping the pan doesn't get the old fluid out of the lines, cooler, or converter.

Them fancy auto shifting trannys sure require a lot of machines to work.

Manual, remove plug, drink beer. Put plug back. Drink beer. Remove top plug, add oil. Put plug back. Drink beer.

Laugh at auto guys machine. Drink beer.

So then I need to get it done. I'm approaching 70k miles and have never done it. Stock fluid. Same with the diff. I'll do the diff today though.

Ok, you opened it up....... hahaha

Them archaic manual shifting guys sure have to do a lot to get down that drag strip.

Auto, push pedal, drink beer, look to the left, drink beer, hold up beer and 'salute' manual guy shifting again, belch, wipe mouth, drink beer, check rear view for manual guy, drink beer, put on brake.

meh, just disconnect the lines from the trans, pull the fuel pump fuse and turn the key.

***Disclaimer.... don't do this***

Stayed tuned for his next thread, "why won't my car move when I put in into gear?"
