Exhaust

I put a set of Borla axel back on no check engine lights. WIth that said sounded great and no issues with inspection in NH. I have since changed my exhaust and have the axel back for sale if interested. Let me know

The O2 sensors (4 of them) are located in front and between the Catalytic converters(there are 4 of them as well. These are up front close to the engine - like 2' and 3' from the exhaust manifold.

The mufflers are all the way at the back of the car. you could delete the mufflers and run straight pipes and not affect the O2 sensors - it would be loud - the cats quiet it up a lot.

It will sound better IMHO with *some* kind of muffler, and you probably wouldn't get hassled when you need a sticker with mufflers.

I have the Borla "s" cat back system and love the sound..

I have a Pypes Performance axle back system in mine. Its called the Pype Bomb. Its a muffler delete but has resonators eliminating mid rpm and cruising drone you can get from other systems. It was under $300 shipped to my door from summit racing. It comes with clamps but I couldn't get the clamps to seal so I just welded it on. It has a nice deep sound and it sounds awesome under heavy throttle but it isn't obnoxious and does not effect emissions.

Look on youtube.com for exhaust samples, that's why I went with Cherrybomb extremes. $400 for the whole system, catback with xpipe and all. My favorite sounding exhaust are the Cherrybomb,Pypes and Stainless Works Retro Chambered. Good muscle sound on all three.Oh,and Flowmaster Outlaws too. You will not be changing anything on cats or sensors unless you get aftermarket ones.

Well going with that muffler delete and installing the cherry bomb glasspacks if your at the Budweiser show in august you'll get to see and hear how it went.

Also thank you for all the information regarding the emissions and other information particularly the new hampshire people who know how obnoxious our emissions laws are.
