Dealer jacking me around???

Hey, dudes. Can I get your opinion on something? Below is an email thread from me to my dealer today. I asked him to give me some info (info I've learned from being on here)....and I'm just curious if you all think he's sluffing me off, too? I don't want to bug him too much and get him annoyed at me, but at the same time, GIVE ME THE INFO I'M REQUESTING!

**This was his response to the first question I asked about the status codes.**

When did you order? What's your dealer's allocations? Where are you in line for this dealers allocations?

1100 means that it's been accepted into the system. That's it.

2500 means that he got an allocation to submit it.
3000 means that it's been accepted by GM to build
3300 means that it's scheduled to build

and so on and so on.....

Give us some more details and we can help you better understand. But from what I can see. He's not dicking you around. And if you're getting this anxious in the game....you're screwed my friend!!

Believe me, I know I'm screwed. Can't help it. I love it. So yes, I'm screwed. I can deal with that. But your questions regarding his allocation, where I am in that allocation, etc....he won't answer. For instance he won't answer my question of what the F--K is my order number!!! I'm not just going to sit back and take for word what this guy says. I'm TRYING to do some double checking to ensure I'm being told the truth. And it feels like he's trying to keep me from doing so on purpose.

This will not make the car come any faster. If you really feel as if the dealer may be tugging you around, kindly ask him for a print out of the order. (I believe its called GM Workbench or something like that? Some one else can verify that.) That print out may actually have your order number on it.

Relax bro. I know the wait is hard, but you are only going to make it worse on yourself by stressing out like this. And I mean that with much .

Why don't you just stop by the dealership and ask the Sales Manager (not you salesman because he probably does not have access to GM workbench) for you workbench print out. Also ask him if you are one of his allocations for this quarter. If he has allocation, you will move from 1100 to 3000 within the next 8 weeks. If not, grab a chair and a pillow because its going to be a while.

You ordered on 5/13 and you're already this stressed? You need to buy a cancelled order. Seriously... there are people on this board that ordered 7 and a half months ago. That's 230 days... your order is 16 days old....

Your salesman would need to get that information from the inventory manager. Just have him get a printout of the Workbench Order form.

If he doesn't,,, cancel your order because you're not built to handle the frustration you are about to endure.

Dude, really. Be patient, you're in for a long, bumpy ride. Some of us have been waiting since October, or shortly after March 16th if you want to really split hairs. You've just ordered; therefore, sit back, strap yourself in, please do not hang your arms outside of the ride, and enjoy the roller coaster. By the way, 1100 is correct; you've been accepted in to the system. Now, you have a "few" more event codes. Good luck and be patient.

If he won't answer your questions, get your money back and go somewhere else.

Quit being nice and ask direct questions in your next email.

I have a couple of quick questions I need answered.

1. What is your allocation number for Camaros through October?
2. What is my current position 'in line'. (ie: Am I the 5th of 8 allocations or the 15th of 4 allocations)

Thanks for keeping me informed and if the dealership is unable or unwilling to answer these questions, I'll need to reassess my choice of dealer.
