PLASMAGLOW® - LED GloStix Tube
http://www.carid.com/universal-led-l...ng-860526.html
Before I totally stuff my electrics (out here in the Wilderness of the UK North) ... would someone be able to direct me as to where to connect these kits into my electrics. I'm rubbish at electrics. Good at engineering, welding, bolting, fibreglass... just crap at Electrics, 3 Pin plugs, etc :-( I'm sure it should be dead easy? Photo's would be most welcome. And I cannot find info about physically mounting the Glostix to... what? Do I screw them into the body or cabin lining? My next challenge after this is: http://www.carid.com/universal-led-l...ng-860351.html .. so maybe I should work towards using the same wiring plugins for both? Thank you. |

This should help you. As far as mounting goes, you should be able to mount them on that cross bar right under the glovebox using screws or maybe tie-wraps.

Thanks typhoidfvr,
My PLASMAGLOW kit is perhaps a bit different... Here's a picture of it all below. I'd like someone who has done this before with this kit to advise me please on the best placement and mounting of the electric cables, master box, controller and the relation of those to the 12v connection they tapped into.

Sorry, I don't know. You can hide the master box in the middle console, the sides pull right off.

Anyone, help please...
This PlasmaGlow kit already has a switch, I'm just looking for a good 12v + - supply under the steering, near the steering, in the central console area. Thanks. |

I've wired it up on my bench just to test.
All works, except for the LCD Display (have contacted vendor about that). Do you think I can wire this directly to the battery terminals now ? Last edited by redleader; 07-21-2012 at 10:47 AM. |

POST NOTE: I did that, connected it direct to the battery.
It screwed the Controller so it would not switch on or off after 5 minutes of use. And the LEDs on the Remote stayed on all the time ... bound to drain the battery eventually :-( Back to my Bench tester PSU and all is OK? This is a dodgey product IMO :-( |
