come on camaro owners bashing other camaro owners wtf... Yes the 5th gen is a great car, i know i cant wait to get behind the wheel of one but dont hate on previous generations. The 4th gens dominated in thier time and all the way up till the 5th gen came out. Cant disrespect the LS1 fbody who stayed on the streets smoking the current mustangs and keeping GM muscle car domination along with the GTOs so the torch could be passed to the new 5th gens. I know i love my 4th gen its not as refined, its alittle more raw but when it comes to living up to its muscle car name it does that and then some. So to ALL camaro owners

Great Review and much like I felt. It is amazing how you can do 80 and feel like 40MPH!

I never understood why the car rags had a problem with the stearing wheel. I like it too. I don't like the AFM but as Scott said, it is getting better. I would like to hear a soundsystem that you think is good if you don't like the BA. I think it rocks.

The name "Camaro" means 'friend, pal, or comrade' -- (found in Heath's French to English Dictionary -- dated 1935....) -- and it bothers me greatly as to the bashing that is allowed on so many websites. I guess I'm an old-fashioned guy -- but I don't understand why people feel it's OK to type the things they do on the 'net - yet they'd NEVER dream of saying it in person. (........and then there are those who WOULD say it to you....and those people are, in most cases, just downright rude..) The 4th gen cars will STILL shame cars --costing many times more-- on a road course, and they still dominate at many strips......but they are old architecture -- and the new Camaro is improved the whole way around.... We should be celebrating all generations of Camaro -- not bashing them! And...for what it's worth - each of us, in some way or another -- are custodians of the Brand called Camaro..........we should watch what we say..... (myself included!!) |

Sorry to disagree, but you can easily put your are on the door. You must have your seat way to low. Just raise the seat. Now I have a stick shift so I don't do that much, but it is not a problem.

So far 380 miles on my 5th gen. Still in love with it. I can't seem to find enough time to drive the thing. If I could drive it more I think the A6 would behave a little better. Other than that I have no complaints. As far as previous generations I love all of them. The 69 is an icon to me. I have owned several of every generation and I am going to try and have one of every gen. I have a killer 69 Z/28. I want a 70.5 or 71 Z/28, a 85-89 Iroc Z and a 96-97 SS or 98-02 Z/28 to complete my collection. IMO the 5th gen is the MOST refined of them all.

Put another 30 or so miles on the car today, first day it hasnt rained since last week, car has aprox 120 on it now
it seems to run smoother than the last time I drove it, I didnt notice the cylinder deactivation as much and the tranny seemed a little smoother as well power is still awesome as ever, brakes are 100% quiet , everything else is as awesome as ever I still cant get my arm out the window though lol
