you should see the difference a fuse pull makes running ethonal free gas. huge performance change! most boat places on the water have it. try it, you will be shocked.

You don't need a harness, just have the 1-4 skip-shift disabled.

One of the guys I work with was going on about getting ethenol free gas just for his antique pulling tractor! The price of it from the marinas is a little high though. I just run premium in mine.

Ethenol free or just 91 octane? I'm running 93 octane for $4.00 a gallon, but has ethenol in it.

And yes, right front corner of the engine compartment, fuses 5&20, easy for us to remember huh?

I happened to run across this post for the fuel table reset a couple days ago. I popped the fuses out and let it sit overnight, and man did I notice a big difference in my idle and acceleration. Something that ticks me off is the dealer I purchased my 2010 from told me that you could run any type of fuel in it although you'll notice better performance by running the high octane. Apparently, they must have filled my car with regular before I bought it because it never felt this powerful since I tried the fuel table reset. Awesome!

You can get the SLP skip-shift eliminator off of amazon for under 30 bucks and it's prime eligible. 21008 is the part# off of the SLP website and it matches the part# on amazon.

This was originally a thread about the L99's.
Apparently it's an LS3 issue too.

Just did the fuse pull on my L99 2012 2SS/RS and it worked like a charm! I could feel a difference almost immediately as I started driving. Smoother acceleration, idling, and a much smoother transition to/from AFM.

I should mention the car was filled up with 89 octane fuel several times from the get-go. I fueled up with a few tanks of 91 octane and then did the fuse pull and left it sitting overnight.

If your vehicle is tuned for 91 is this fuse pull unnecessary?

Yea the fuse pull is always a good idea because u never really know what's in the gas that ur getting even though u get 93 oct... That's all I use and I do the fuse pull every 2 months.... If ur car come in contact with any water , sediments from bad gas or just any extra additive it's gonna lower the octane level that the car is tuned to... Think bout it.....
