you have to be careful though. offsets from one design wheel won't necessarily work for another design wheel due to the differences in the spoke shapes.

offsets by themselves will get you close as far as where the edges of the wheel will fall, but it's not a cut and dry parameter.

what works for one type wheel may not work for another.

If you want wider tires out back why not do it right with a wider wheel? You want to run tires with a 1.57" difference in width on the same size wheels? Not sure I understand the logic behind that.

You're killin me dude.

I'm pretty particular about the look of the wheel. Neither of the two options that I like come any wider than 10".

Just want to know if 10" wheels are too wide for 275s.

"I see" said the blind man.

Here ya go. 20x10 wheel with a 275/40 20 Nitto Invo. Looks great to me.

Here is the same tire on a 20x9 wheel and the tire looks too bulgy to me, so I think the 10" wide is perfect.

And here is the 315/35 20 on a 20x10 wheel. Also looks a little bulgy, but still acceptable for the rear.

9.5 " would be ideal but 10" would be ok

275/40/20's fit perfect on 10" wide wheels. Im running 275/40 P-Zero's on 10" wheels up front. With correct offsets the sidewall bulge will sit inside the wheel wells. Mine sit 1/8" inside the well.....my 305/35's on 11.5" wheels out back sit 1/4" inside the wells.

This thread is amazing! So glad I ran across it... Have been looking at some TSW wheels today and have been mind boggled with what tire sizes to go with for 10" wide rim.

But i heard that different tire brands with the some numeric like [ 275 ] will fit different on the same wheel , for instance , the OEM from the SS rears will look bulging on a 10'' wheels ,and the NITTO INVO looks just right , know what ?

What you are saying is true but I'm not sure what you are asking.

The OP wants to run Nitto Invo 275/315 on all 10' wheels so I posted pics of those specific tires on 10" wide wheels.

I think what he's saying is that not all 275-wide tires are exactly 275mm wide. Some tires run a little narrower than the nominal mm number, some a little wider. I think the range of this width variation covers at least 7%.

Something else is that the "275 width" - more accurately whatever dimension the mfr claims for section width - is only correct when the tire is mounted on a wheel of "measuring width". The actual section width increases and decreases as the wheels you mount them on are wider or narrower than "measuring", and most of the online tire comparison plots do not demonstrate this. An appearance-related side benefit is that tires mounted on wheels that are only a little wider than "measuring width" don't look particularly "stretched".

Mine is a DD, and I am very happy with them. I have heard people that do some racing don't like them, but that is not my purpose.

Looks like everyone has you covered, but I thought I would throw some pics in too. My rears are TSW Nurburgrings. They are 10 in and I am running the stock 275 p-zero tire. Here ya go...
