Should I do it?
So I put a deposit down last week and prepared for the wait. Yesterday I get a call from a different local dealer. They took delivery of a 2SS with the exact same options, color, everything I ordered. The customer no longer wanted it. They are selling the cars with a 4k markup. I told him no thanks I would wait, 4k is not going to happen.
This morning I get a call from them. The salesperson I was dealing with was told to call me. Offer me the car for a $750 markup tomorrow if the unit did not sell today. What do you guys think? |

I would say go for it unless you want to wait to order one which might be awhile

$750 isn't too bad. The question would be then is $750 more important to you or waiting three or more months to save that money.

if you can get your deposit back from the other dealer...and you don't mind paying the extra $750, it might be worth going for it. It's exactly what you've ordered, so that's a big plus.

I wouldn't do it, no way no how. But that's me. All really depends on how important it is for you to have NOW, vs 3 months from now.

So your original deal is at MSRP? Stick to that.

tell them msrp or you'll wait. if $750 is not much to you, like everyone here suggests, then it's not much to them either. door swings both way.
if they don't give in, and it's the exact same as the car you wanted, then you have to make the call as to what's more important: waiting 3 more months or paying the $750 |

Doesn't sound like it matters much about the 750.00 so if your original order is not R6P then I'de buy the car now. If your original order is a true R6P (pre-order) then I'd wait for it. Not for resale but just for the simple fact. But that's me.
