I find its mostly the younger crowd. the company I work for had to do a survey once on who could drive a stick and who couldn't. the reason was they were having so many problems when assigning vehicles to people becuase so many of the under 30's couldn't drive any of the company vehicles with a stick. it literally blew my mind that 90% of them couldn't. especially since I'm 40 and everyone I know my age or older can drive one.

I guess it's a generational thing

I've got a new left knee and hip and got a Manual SS. Not enough power.

I bought a manual as thats what I wanted.

Besides I wanted a 400+ HP car with a manual as I see these things going out in my life time and wanted the joy of owning and driving one before that happened.

In my experience, any “manual mode” in an automatic car performs poorly and sucks the soul out of the car just as much as putting the car in “D”.
Completely agree. The Auto in the Camaro requires a tranny tune to get it to shift properly using the tap shift. And after that you are still just pushing buttons... Not even remotely similar to driving a manual.

Explaining how the V6 of today is not at all like the I6 that was avlible in the Gen 1. How can you see that growth and improvement in the V6 yet talk about the A6 as if it sill the same A2-3 that was in the Gen 1.

You're right! After a tune it isn't anything like driving a manual......it's better.
