Angry BROKEN 3 TIMES!!!

So i had my camaro for about 7 months now and its already broke three times and im getting trouble with my warrenty. the first time was my output shaft and did not have mods so they replaced the whole trans no questions. The second time was a broken drive shaft with a buncha other parts along with it in cluding my aftermarket exhaust and i had to call customer service to get my warrenty back on that one and now a month later (yesterday) my right axle shaft broke and they are saying because i got let off last time that there not gonna give me another chance this time with my warrenty!! can they do that? and has anyone else had this many problems with there car and also warrenty problems when fixing?!? All i have is LT headers cat delete axle back and an CAI.

Sounds like you beat the piss out of your car. I'm sure the dealer is suspecting you have more mods then you're letting on to. They can void out a warranty but I'm pretty sure they need some sort of cause/reason. If they want to get picky....and with your claims they will.....they can void the powertrain warranty on the headers alone. Good luck with the dealer and your repairs. What dealer are you going to?

Start by doing less burnouts. Sucks that you're having warranty problems but if I were the dealer I would think you're driving the car too hard and if they need an excuse to void your warranty, those headers are it. Good luck dude!

I do not mean to say this in any insulting manner and I am not trying to be a dick, but honestly, this kind of crap annoys me.

Honestly, they can void your warranty for the mods you have like the first guy who replied said.

As someone who used to work with this kind of stuff for a living I am going to give you one peice of advice now. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ask the dealership if the mods you want to get are okay and will not affect your warranty in any shape, way or form - with these cars i strongly urge and recommend people to KEEP their warranties. For me at least, the warranty has already saved me 3500$ in repairs - in the 7 months I own the car!

There is nothing worse than having customers come in who have beat the piss out of their car - like the first guy said - and then complain that their warranties are done... Sometimes it is honestly like...REALLY WHAT DID YOU THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN....

The only thing I can advise you is to go to other dealerships and try there. Also you could do your best to dispute it, but don't forget who will most likely win if they find that your mods are the cause!

This does suck but in my opinion, if you mod your engine, in any way, expect to pay for repairs if something brakes. With that state of mind, I modded my car in a manner to prevent or at least HELP prevent any breakages due to the increased power.

I believe you have the LS3 manual and it sounds like you drive the car like you stole it. If you like driving like that, you would have been wise to leave the car completely stock because things are going to break and if you add anything to the engine, you will PAY for the repair, thats just life.

If you want more power, do the mods to make things as bulletproof as possible to help cover your rear but remember, things WILL break sometime.

Wheel hop has been an issue with these cars since they came out and its been strongly recommended that you get new axles, trailing arms and bushing for the diff and trailing arms to help control wheel hope as much as possible. Sounds like everything that your breaking is from the trans back. Could be weak parts but more likely how its driven.

Again, if you want to drive it like you stole it, talk to your dealer, take the headers off and keep it stock and see if they will cover your warrantee again but as mentioned, I suspect that your dealer suspects your driving the hell out of your car and to them that is abuse that is not covered by the factory warrantee.

If you want the power, build your car up to handle the added stress but still be ready to pay to play!!! Sorry for the bad luck but these are mechanical things, they brake when you play hard with them.

Your best bet is to try another dealership. Wouldnt try to fight it. Once you start modding your at there mercy if they will run it under warranty. If your going to run your car that hard you may want to upgade to better parts anyways.

read your warranty, I'm pretty sure they don't cover replaced parts. you only get one bite at the apple. likewise, damage to a non warrantied part by a warrantied part is not covered. your lucky they replaced it the second time as the replacement parts they put in the first time were not covered. also, I'm pretty sure there are clauses in the warranty about using the vehicle in ways it wasn't intended to be used, and abusing it.

serves your right for repeatedly beating the hell out of your car and expecting someone else to foot the bill. If you want to drive the piss out of it, go right ahead. but don't whine when someone else wont fix it free of charge.

+1! Well said. You would not believe how many people I have dealt with in the past who have basically treated their cars like some sort of off road dirt monster with completely replaced parts AND THEN, THEN! When they found out their warranties were finished would whine and worse.

Put your car back to stock and try a different dealer is about your only choice.

I doubt it would work. everything is computerized by VIN. as soon as they punch in his VIN they're going to see that it has already been fixed under warranty twice. just going to make him look bad.

It really is his only choice - make the car stock again - cross fingers - then go to as many dealerships as possible hoping they will accept him. Either that or foot the huge ass bill he has racked up LOL.

Maybe Chevy is different but when I had my 11' Toyota Tacoma the original dealership for the first two main. And then swapped to one closer to my house and they were not able to see what the other dealership did and the original dealership kept calling me saying I was past due even tho I kept it maintained at the new dealership . I would of thought they could see what was done since it was the same company that owned both dealerships but they were not.

To the OP, your screwed. You modded your car and it doesn't matter if the headers and driving caused the breakage or if the part was faulty the dealership can get out of it and they will . This is why it's never Rec. to mod you car until your willing to eat replacement parts. In the end nothing WILL for sure void a warranty, they have to be able to prove your mod caused the failure and in this case they can say the added hp causes the failure

Long tube headers and no tune? Personally I would never consider a cat delete and LT headers without a tune! Sounds crazy to me! Besides the warranty issue, it sounds like you're askin for problems anyway, with just those mods and no tune.
